What Is a Trademark?
Rutgers Trademarks
Rutgers’ trademarks include the name of the university; the university logotype and signatures; intercollegiate athletics logos and wordmarks, including “Scarlet Knights”; and all other identifying trademarks of the university. These include the trademarks of the New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden campuses.
Rules for using Rutgers trademarks apply to:
- vendors/manufacturers
- retailers
- academic departments
- administrative departments
- student organizations
- other members of the Rutgers community
Rutgers Visual Identity System
The Rutgers Visual Identity System strengthens the Rutgers identity and unites the university community under a consistent coherent style. Refer to it when planning any communications, marketing, or promotional piece or product.
