Are you looking to broadcast a live video stream of an event to viewers on the internet? RU-tv and the Office of Instructional and Research Technology (OIRT) work together to make this happen through RU-iptv, a web-based video service. Contact Gayle Stein for details.
Displaying an RU-tv video on one of your webpages can be a useful way to add video content to your site, especially if RU-tv has highlighted a program, event, or professor.
This is known as “embedding” a video. To do this, follow these steps:
You may need assistance from your website administrator or technical staff to insert the embed code on your webpage.

RU-tv is Rutgers’ campus television network. With programs like Inside Rutgers and Wake Up Rutgers, RU-tv informs students and the broader Rutgers community about what’s happening at Rutgers. RU-tv is available online and in residence halls, in student centers, and at other campus locations.
RU-tv is often on the lookout for interesting stories about students, professors, and events at Rutgers.
A number of RU-tv channels highlight the achievements of Rutgers faculty, students, and alumni, along with Rutgers news of interest to students. If you’re not sure what program to contact, email RU-tv for assistance.
RU-tv has its own YouTube Channel. Here you can find RU-tv-produced videos that promote Rutgers people, events, and news.
Has your Rutgers department produced a video that you would like to share through RU-tv? The RU-tv Network is always on the lookout for creative programming from the Rutgers community. Learn the ins and outs of submitting a video project for RU-tv’s review and consideration.
RU-tv is able to produce a limited number of promotional announcements for Rutgers groups and organizations. For information about how your club or organization can get involved, email RU-tv Public Service Announcements or contact RU-tv’s programming department at 848-445-1966, 848-445-1970, or 848-445-1975.
Just remember: RU-tv is funded through student fees, with the goal of producing content for students and the Rutgers community. You’re not able to “book” RU-tv’s services in order to record a video of your event or produce a video for your organization.
