(NEWARK) -- The Rutgers-Newark Honors College graduated a record 55 students at the May 19 Newark College of Arts and Science (NCAS) and University College (UC) joint commencement.
High achieving students in NCAS and UC must apply to the Honors College, a four-year college within a college. Students are accepted based on their academic achievements. The program teaches students to think more critically and develop their analytical skills. Graduating seniors must complete a challenging final honors project and score a B+ or better to graduate.
Many graduates have moved on to pursue graduate studies at a number of prestigious schools, including Columbia University, George Washington University and Drexel University. Others have secured jobs at well-established firms, such as Merrill Lynch and Deloitte Touchι.
Below is a list of the graduates and their respective hometowns.
