Senate elects new officers

The University Senate elected new officers and board representatives for the 2006-07 academic year:
Martha Cotter, professor of chemistry in New Brunswick/Piscataway, will remain as chair. Samuel Rabinowitz, associate professor of business in Camden, will remain as vice chair. The executive committee members representing faculty are: Natalie Borisovets, librarian, Newark; Ann Gould, associate extension specialist, Cook College; Francoise Puniello, associate library director, New Brunswick; Ted Szatrowski, professor of management science and computer information studies, Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick; and Jonathan Tittler, professor of foreign languages, Camden. Karen Thompson was elected to the executive committee representing part-time lecturers and annual faculty appointees. Representing students on the executive committee are Kimberly Mauroff of the Graduate School-Camden; Dana Eldreth of the Graduate School-Newark; and Edward Ng of Rutgers College. Raymond Bodnar will represent alumni on the executive committee.
The faculty representative to the board of governors is Paul Leath, professor of physics in New Brunswick/Piscataway. The student representative is Jillian Curtis, Rutgers College. The faculty representatives to the board of trustees are Kathleen Scott, professor of cell biology and neuroscience in New Brunswick/Piscataway, and Mark Vodak, extension specialist and associate professor of ecology, evolution and natural resources, Cook College. The undergraduate student representative to the board of trustees is Sharo Atmeh, Rutgers College; the graduate student representative is Ryan Fowler, Graduate School-New Brunswick.
