In early March, a delegation of students and faculty from Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick traveled to Omaha, Neb., to meet Warren Buffett, who is the world’s second-richest man and is widely regarded as the greatest stock market investor. Buffett, chair of Berkshire Hathaway, spent nearly four hours in a private session with 35 undergraduate and graduate students, offering insight into his investing strategy and answering questions. Shaun Lee (far left, with Buffett), a graduate student in the master of quantitative finance program at the business school, described Buffett as “intense, but down to earth and very grounded in the important things in life. He told us: ‘Money is important, but don’t become obsessed with it,’ ” Lee said. He advised the students to be passionate about the careers they choose.
