Expert's Biography:
Hooshang Amirahmadi, Ph.D., is director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies and a professor at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.

Amirahmadi is the founder and president of the American-Iranian Council, a research and policy think tank devoted to improving understanding between the peoples of Iran and the United States.

He is the author of Revolution and Economic Transition: The Iranian Experience and editor of 10 other books. He is frequently interviewed by national and international print and broadcast media outlets, including CNN and the New York Times.

Amirahmadi has served as consultant to the United Nations, the Aga Khan Foundation, the World Bank and several governments, as well as private companies. He has presented at conferences around the world.
