Kevin B. Patrick
B.A. in Psychology, School of Arts and Sciences, New Brunswick
Hometown: Fremont, California

Kevin B. Patrick came from clear across the country to attend Rutgers, but he soon made himself at home by immersing himself in campus activism and politics. He served as president of the United Black Council, and also held posts on the College Avenue Council, the Black Men’s Collective, and the Rutgers College Governing Association.

Kevin got involved in other ways, too, serving as a volunteer tutor for AVID, a program to help students prepare for college, and as a campus coordinator for Teach for America. After graduation, he’s off to San Francisco, where he plans to work on Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. He then hopes to land a job with the city’s Office of the District Attorney. “The more I say I don’t want to be involved in politics, the more I see that if I want things to change, I have to help create change,” he says.
