Adam Taliaferro
J.D., Rutgers School of Law–Camden
Hometown: Voorhees, New Jersey
Way before the rigors of law school, Adam Taliaferro faced the challenge of a lifetime. In 2000, he was a Penn State football phenom going up against Ohio State when he shattered a vertebra; doctors said he might never walk again. Yet walk he did, eventually graduating from Penn State and starting a foundation for spinal cord patients. A book about him,
Miracle in the Making, tells the story of his amazing recovery.
Now on to the next chapter, as Adam is graduating from law school. “It’s been a great experience for me,” he says. “It was perfect—the teachers really challenge you.” As a summer associate at the prestigious Philadelphia law firm of Montgomery McCracken, Adam got to do everything from draft memos to sit in on trials and depositions; in September, he will start as an associate in the firm’s labor and employment department.
